Welcome to Mapper's (aka Ron's) Shred Fest 2025 fundraising webpage. This will be year number 3 for me and I want to start by thanking everyone who supported me last year and made it such a big success. Although the ski conditions were very challenging, I was able to ski 50,000+ vertical feet (a personal best for me) while raising over $1,000 for a really great cause. 

As I write this I once again ask myself, can WE do even better in 2025 than we did in 2024???  And I hear the same answer rattling around my brain:  HELL YES!!!  So the plan is to ski hard between 9am & 4pm on Saturday March 22nd and complete as many runs as possible. I feel physically up to the task, and know spiritually I am unstoppable.  While we are at it, let's go BIG and raise $1,500 for the Dream Adaptive Recreation organization (https://www.dreamadaptive.org/), located right here in Whitefish, Montana.  And I can assure you your donation will go to a great cause and bring countless smiles and enjoyment to members of our community who love the outdoors but are physically challenged.

And of course, this is also about my Mom, Liz Behrendt, who has now been gone for over 20 years.  Although she had many physical challenges throughout her life due to contracting polio at the age of 9, she NEVER let it stop her from enjoying the things she loved to do...hiking, camping, rafting and sooooo much more.  I am sure her determination and fortitude influenced the person I've turned out to be.  Including enjoying the great outdoors!




I've always loved the picture below of her "out having fun" and know the pleasure it brought her, and am confident the programs facilitated by Dream Adaptive Recreation do the same for those they touch.
